So What are You Doing with Your 67 Minutes?
I was challenged at dinner last night as to what we were doing with our 67 minutes. To be honest with everything we’ve had on our plate, Mandela Day had snuck up on us. We knew it was coming, we just didn’t realise it was tomorrow. I had no answer at the time, and this was more troubling than I thought it would be. The person who challenged me is going to donate a fairly substantial amount based on the numbers 67 and numerous zeros. I couldn’t match this, and the usual “I’ll pick up litter for 67 minutes” just didn’t feel like enough.
[No offense, to our good friends Guerrillas Gone Green, who are organizing a clean up en mass, if you are in the area - please do go support their effort and join in. The guys really do know how to make getting down and dirty a fun experience.]
I wanted to match the offer but in a way that was more lasting and more than a single good deed on a single day. Not that there is anything wrong with good deeds, but we like long term relationships and so we wanted to help out in a lasting way, and get to know they people we are helping, and learn how to help them more and more over time.
So in a flash of inspiration, after unfortunately another disappointing Springbok performance, I clicked that I may not have bags of money to give but we do have time and expertise. So I decided lets give 67 minutes for 67 weeks for a charity, helping them reach more people and hopefully helping them grow from strength to strength. 67 minutes of Web Design, Search Engine Optimisation, Social Media Marketing, Graphic Design and Online Marketing every week for 67 weeks.
What the offer essentially entails is our New Business Booster Premium Package for FREE plus a little bit extra every month. We will donate 67 minutes every week to building a charity’s online brand starting with their website and then leading with Search Engine Optimization and Social Media Marketing.
The Offer is Worth R22 500.
So please if you know of any charities that would benefit from this please leave their details in the comments section. The only condition is that we will favour fresh starts, charities with no website, as we will be able to contribute more.
Please share this with anyone you think will benefit using the Share button below, tweet it, post it on Facebook, email it – it will be greatly appreciated.
We’ll post a shortlist of charities by the end of this coming week, Friday the 23rd.
Then you guys and your friends, and your sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles can all vote on the lucky charity, and the ‘winner’ will be announced the following Friday (30th July) – its that easy.
Thanks in advance for all your help,
You Friendly Webdesign Warehouse Team
